In case of an Emergency
Please remain at Home

  • Bring pets inside.
  • Close and lock windows and doors
  • Turn off all electrical appliances
  • Go to the basement or other underground area
  • Stay inside until authorities say it is safe
  • In case of direct contract with bubbles flow the seek immediate medical attention

It cannot be stressed enough that these guidelines are only in case of a limited bubble burst occurring inside a contained area, do NOT try to handle a larger occurrence of bubbles yourself. Evacuate the premises and contact the nearest authority.

First of all wash you hands thoroughly with water to clean any dirt or bubbles that may already have contaminated you, or your surroundings.

Rub Anti-Static Spray into your skin to protect you against the bubble effects, anti-static spray protects against most of the effects of the bubbles.

Wipe off the excess Anti-Static in a piece of soft cloth. The Anti-Static in this cloth will bond with the Anti-Static fluid on your skin to barrier against the effect.

Now it is safe to clean up the Bubbles. Start by disconnect the computer very carefully from the mains

What you can do to stay informed

Attend public information meetings. You may also want to attend post-exercise meetings that include the media and the public.

Contact local emergency management officials, who can provide information about radioactivity, safety precautions, and state, local, industry and federal plans.

Ask about the hazards bubbles may pose to your family, especially with respect to young children, pregnant women and the elderly.

Learn your community's warning systems.

Always keep at least one full bottle of Anti-Static fluid in your home.

Learn emergency plans for schools, day care centers and nursing homes--anywhere family members might be.

Be familiar with emergency information materials that are regularly disseminated to your home (via brochures, the phone book, calendars, utility bills, etc.) These materials contain educational information on radiation, instructions for evacuation and sheltering, special arrangements for the handicapped, contacts for additional information, etc.
